Mr.Sukhdevji

We bring the sweetest !

When Mr. Sukhdevji Rathi told his brother Mr. Devkishanji, that "I just want to do a business of sweets and don't want to work in other field.", they did not know how widely popular their business would be... and everyone would be familiar to MaakhanBhog..!

With a small shop for sweets named MAAKHANBHOG, Mr. Sukhdevji had started his journey on 15/10/1987 in Surat. Shop was situated at Amarshilp Building, Timaliyawad, Nanpura, Surat. In those days, he had a small product line of only Sutarfeni, Barfi, Penda, Maiysur, Jalebies. Then he also started Kaju-Katri, Sonpapdi, Motichur Laddo, Milk-Cake, and some fancy sweets, which are famous in his native place and some sweets which are from North India. That Sweets are made up of Dry fruits and some costly ingredients, so they did not get an effective response and he ran in loss for probably 2 years. But after some years those sweets became popular and now everybody knows MAAKHANBHOG - The Mithai Shop.

Someone had asked a question to Mr. Gautamji -the son of Mr. Devkishanji in a conversation, "What the name Maakhanbhog was derived from?" And he replied, that "My uncle and father had different thinking. They thought that sweets are not only things to eat, it should be presented to the God respectfully to earn blessings...The name Maakhanbhog is derived from the word - Rajbhog. He added in conversation that, nowadays my brother Mr. Pratik, Mr. Abhishek - sons of my uncle Mr. Dwarkaprasadji, Mr. Hemant, Mr. Shrey, Mr. Jagdish and Mr. Mahavir - sons of Mr. Sukhdevji, are doing the best and also fulfilling our parent's dreams. He added that we do not charge on boxes containers. We created a new status for a sweets shop with air conditioned atmosphere, cleanliness, some edible items like Dry fruits, Sharbat and large variety of different sweets."

We have showrooms in Adajan, Udhna, Ghod-dod Road and Nanpura with snacks range in Surat. We have also tied-up with some distributors in Bardoli.

"Ex. Muncipal Commissioner Honorable Shri S.R. Rao appreciated hygiene and cleanliness of workshop and also pointed in his speech."
